Maria Cristina Carbonell, Caracas, Venezuela. Born in Puerto Rico, attended the Art Student League of New York, and studied fashion design at The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City. The artist began her career with an education in formal drawing that led to her exploration of different mediums such as installation, sculpture, photography, video, and painting. |

Amalia Caputo, Caracas, Venezuela. Holds a Bachelor in Art and Art History from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, where she graduated in 1988. In 1995, she received a MFA in Photography at New York University/International Center of Photography. Caputo has devoted her career as a photo and video based artist, dealing with multiple subjects regarding mostly the body as the core of her work. |
